Elavon Inc. announced Thursday it is expanding its two-decades-old-relationship with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts by making its Cloud Payments Interface available to more than 6,000 Wyndham franchisees in the United States and Canada.
The scalable, cloud-based technology supports mobile check-in, reduces overhead costs, and minimizes security issues, the Atlanta-based merchant-services provider says. In addition, Elavon’s Cloud Payments Interface enables integration with cloud-based third-party apps, such as property management systems, reservation platforms, and loyalty programs, the company says. It also offers advanced encryption and tokenization technologies through a single a single interface for in-person and online transactions, Elavon says.
The addition of Elavon’s Cloud Payments Interface will enable Wyndham franchisees to stay ahead of the technology curve to meet the evolving needs of their business and guests. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the world’s largest hotel franchisor, based on the franchised properties, with 9,300 hotels in more than 95 countries. Wyndham has 25 brands within its portfolio, including Super 8, Days Inn, La Quinta, Ramada, Registry Collection Hotels, and Wyndham.

“This is more than just a technological upgrade; it’s about enabling a seamless guest experience and reducing complexity,” Scott Strickland, chief commercial officer for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts says in a statement. “With Cloud Payments Interface, we can enable faster check-ins, touchless payments, and a more secure, PCI DSS-compliant environment for all our properties.”
A wholly-owned subsidiary of U.S. Bank, Elavon provides end-to-end payment processing solutions and services to more than 1.3 million customers in the United States, Europe, and Canada.
