Time Now Accepts Apple Pay and Other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Ripple, a provider of distributed-ledger technology for financial transactions, has completed a $55 million Series B funding round.

• In related news, Tipalti, which provides a platform to automate supplier payments, announced a $14 million funding round.

• Time Inc. said it has integrated Apple Inc.’s Apple Pay to allow mobile customers to pay for subscriptions to Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, People, and Real Simple magazines.

• Affirm Inc., which lends money to consumers for online purchases, announced it has signed its 200th client on the Magento marketplace and the general availability of its extension for Magento 2.0, the marketplace’s latest e-commerce platform.

• In related news, UATP, a payment platform owned and operated by airlines, contracted with Affirm to allow travelers to buy airline tickets in installments.

• PayPal Holdings Inc. said its PayPal Express Checkout service is now integrated with Volusion LLC’s e-commerce platform for small and mid-sized merchants.
