Ordr Lands a Stadium Pay Deal With the Orlando City Soccer Club

Major League Soccer franchise Orlando City SC has partnered with Ordr Technologies, an AI-powered payments platform for enterprise venues, stadiums, and teams, to process transactions at Inter&Co Stadium, the team’s home field.

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Ordr will provide high-speed transaction processing with real-time analytics that will give Orlando City SC management “deeper insights into sales and performance,” the Orlando, Fla.-based team says. Ordr’s platform integrates with existing hardware, enabling faster rollout, according to the parties.

Ordr says its platform supports ticketing, food and beverage, retail, online purchases, mobile, donations, and 50/50 raffles, all managed through a single, intelligent payment-data layer. Ordr specializes in serving clients in the sports and entertainment industries and has deals with teams in several professional sports leagues including the National Hockey League, Women’s National Basketball Association, Major League Soccer, and the National Women’s Soccer League.

Opened in 2017, Inter&Co Stadium has a seating capacity of 25,500. The soccer-only stadium is also home to the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League.

“We’re always looking for ways to elevate the match-day experience for our supporters and this partnership with Ordr is a great example of that commitment,” Carlos Osorio, Orlando City SC chief financial officer says in a statement. “Ordr’s platform allows us to improve transaction efficiency and gain better insights into our operations, all of which helps us create a more connected and convenient experience for everyone who comes through our gates.”

Payments processing for professional sports teams has in recent years developed into a highly competitive market, featuring such players as Shift4 Payments Inc. and Cantaloupe, which burst onto the scene in 2024 with its 2024 acquisition of Cheq for $4.75 million.
