NMI Launches an Embedded Payments Platform to Ease Integration And Processing for ISOs

Payments provider NMI LLC announced Thursday the launch of NMI Payments, a modular embedded-payments solution that enables software companies and independent sales organizations to integrate and accept payments online, in-store, in-app, through mobile devices, and at unattended payment terminals, according to the company.

NMI Payments integrates within existing applications and payment technologies, enabling software developers and ISOs to manage the full merchant and client payment life-cycle, including automating payment processes, underwriting and workflows, and merchant onboarding, the company says.

In addition, NMI’s developer portal offers code samples and reference materials, together with “Try It” functionality to provide software developers with the tools needed to integrate payments into their application, Schaumberg, Ill.-based NMI says.

Software developers and ISOs can also choose from a variety of processors and shopping-cart options embedded within their applications.

Embedded payment solutions built directly into a software platform increasingly centralize these services and provide merchants with a more streamlined, integrated offering,” Jared Drieling, chief innovation officer at payments advisory TSG, says in a statement. “Software organizations offering payment processing directly to their merchants open up a huge revenue opportunity and significantly boost convenience. Going forward, expect more merchants to find their payment partner through these relationships.”

“Our company mission is to provide our partners with payment capabilities from sign-up to pay-out in minutes,” NMI chief executive Vijay Sondhi says in a statement. “By managing risk, optimizing monetization, and offering revenue-sharing models, we can support our partners wherever they are on their payments journey, no matter the size or expertise of the business.”
