GoDaddy Debuts In-Store POS System and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/12/25

  • Online registrar and payments provider GoDaddy Inc. released its Smart Terminal Pro, a point-of-sale system for in-store use. GoDaddy said transactions from the terminal can be synced with a merchant’s online transactions for a consolidated view of their operations.
  • Small business lender Credibly launched Dynamic Offers, a new feature in its Offer Calculator, that it said will make it easier for independent sales organizations to customize stipulations on deals.
  • Payments provider Paysafe Ltd. attributed a $30.6 million income tax expense in the United Kingdom as a factor in its second quarter loss of $50.1 million, up from a $1.4 million loss in the second quarter of 2024. Another factor was a decrease of $16 million in operating income associated with the disposal of its direct marketing business line, Paysafe said. It posted $428.2 million in revenue in the 2025 second quarter, a 2.7% decrease from $439.9 million a year prior.
  • Point-of-sale technology maker MagTek Inc. said Handeholder Products Inc., maker of modular and custom mobility products, has a new product line for MagTek devices.
  • Repay Holdings Corp. reported $75.6 million in second quarter 2025 revenue, up 1% from $74.9 million in the corresponding 2024 quarter. Its quarterly loss broadened to $108 million from $4.2 million, which Repay attributed to a non-cash goodwill impairment of $103.8 million in the consumer payments segment. Repay also named Robert Houser its chief financial officer effective Sept. 8. Houser most recently was an executive at Conduent Inc.
  • Bitcoin ATM operator Bitcoin Depot Inc. reported $172.1 million in second quarter revenue, up 5.5% from $163.1 million in the 2024 second quarter. Its profit jumped to $12.3 million, up 179.5% from $4.4 million a year prior.
  • Blockchain technology company Paxos said it filed an application to convert its New York Dept. of Financial Services trust charter into a national trust charter under the auspices of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
  • Nuvei Corp. said it is expanding its payouts services globally by using stablecoin systems for use cases like intra-company transfers and third-party payouts to single and multiple recipients.
  • Prove Identity Inc. released its Unified Authentication service that can help clients passively identify and recognize customers.
  • Pavilion Payments named Kaleigh Thompson chief of staff. Thompson most recently was an executive at Gaming Arts LLC.
