Dutchie Adds Omni-Channel Shopping for Cannabis Sellers And Launches a Third-Party Partner Program

Dutchie, a payments platform provider for more than 6,500 cannabis retailers in the United States and Canada, announced Wednesday the launch of two new enhancements to its platform, E-commerce Pro and the Certified Partner Program.

E-commerce Pro is an omni-channel shopping application that embeds payments, loyalty, and marketing capabilities across cannabis retailers’ point-of-sale systems, kiosks, and mobile-apps for in-store and e-commerce purchases. The Certified Partner Program provides cannabis dispensaries access to vetted design, search-engine optimization agencies, and software developers.

With E-commerce Pro, cannabis retailers can create personalized shopping for customers using artificial intelligence to make product recommendations, Dutchie says, while also engaging customers and providing shoppers with product reviews and feedback. Cannabis dispensaries using E-commerce Pro during the pilot stage generate 50% more online sales than the industry average and grow 10% faster than retailers not using the application, according to Dutchie.

E-commerce Pro features prebuilt plug-ins that “extend functionality and deliver advanced consumer experiences out of the box,” the company says. The new plug-ins include a personalized product recommendation module. Dispensaries using the plug-in have seen average cart sizes increase 23%, conversion rates increase 20%, and repeat purchases increase 34%, along with higher conversion rates, the company says.

Dutchie has also released a Moodi Day’s Video Review plug-in that provides access user-generated reviews alongside every product. Moodi Day is a video-review platform for the cannabis industry intended to encourage new product discovery, build trust, and drive conversions.

Dutchie says its Certified Partner Program provides cannabis dispensaries with access to third parties specializing in branding, Web-site design, search-engine optimization, and digital commerce. Partners include the Presto Agency, a Chandler, Ariz.-based a graphic design and marketing agency, PufCreativ, a Denver-based marketing agency for cannabis dispensaries, and Range Marketing, a Buffalo, N.Y.-based Internet-marketing agency.
