Phillips 66’s ACH Payment Service and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/17/17

  • Fuel-payments specialist P97 Networks and Buy It Mobility Networks, an automated clearing house-based payment and consumer-engagement provider, said they will provide ACH-based payment and related services to Phillips 66, Conoco, and 76-branded fuel stations. In 2016, P97 said it was working with Chase Pay on a payments service for Phillips 66.
  • Point-of-sale terminal maker Equinox Payments formed a partnership with payments provider FreedomPay to integrate FreedomPay’s technology into Equinox’s POS terminals.
  • Mobile-imaging and identity-verification software provider Mitek Systems Inc. acquired Icar, a Barcelona, Spain-based developer of consumer identity technology used in Spain and Latin America, in a stock and cash deal valued at €12.75 million ($15 million).
  • Payments provider GlobalOnePay, a unit of Pivotal Payments, announced a deal with Australia-based IntegraPay to offer local acquiring services in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Processor Total System Services Inc. (TSYS) appointed two new directors to its board, Thaddeus Arroyo, CEO of AT&T Business, and Richard A. Smith, chairman, CEO and president of real-estate brand franchisor Realogy Holdings Corp. The appointments bring the number of TSYS directors to 12.
  • Authentication and security company Entersekt named Sherif Samy senior vice president for its North America operations. Samy previously worked at UL Transaction Security.
