Heartland Debuts Restaurant Data Service and other Digital Transactions News briefs

Merchant processor Heartland Payment Systems introduced Heartland Insights, a data and analytics service for restaurants that relies on the company’s point-of-sale and e-commerce solutions. Heartland recently became part of rival processor Global Payments Inc.

Canadian payments provider Beanstream expanded its service to U.S. merchants and integrated partners with the announcement of Beanstream USA.

Merchant processor JetPay Corp. named Doug Harrison chief operating officer of its HR & Payroll services unit. Harrison comes to the company from NGA Human Resources.

Fast-casual restaurant chain Noodles & Co. said it is investigating “some unusual activity” reported to it May 16 by its credit card processor; KrebsOnSecurity reported that some financial institutions have seen a pattern of fraud on cards used at Noodles beginning in January.

CareCloud, a vendor of cloud-based software for medical offices, launched CareCloud Patient Payments, a processing solution that works with CareCloud Central, a practice-management system.

In a one-day promotion May 20, JPMorgan Chase & Co. is offering its cardholders a free download of Eric Clapton’s new album, I Still Do, on Apple Inc.’s iTunes portal if they have a Chase-issued Visa card registered with Apple Pay.

• CellPoint Mobile, a payments provider to the airline industry, said it now supports Android Pay in the U.S. and United Kingdom.
