3dcart Adding Payments Options and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Online-payments provider Stripe Inc. now allows merchants on its platform to accept payments from Chinese consumers through links to the China-based Alipay and WeChat Pay systems, Reuters reported. At a valuation of $9.2 billion, 7-year-old Stripe is the most valuable privately held payments startup.

• Alibaba Group, the China-based online marketplace, has launched the Taobao Group U.S. Merchants Network to enable U.S.-based small businesses to sell to Chinese consumers by leveraging the expertise of merchants and distributors in the network.

• Online shopping cart provider 3dcart said its upcoming Version 8 release will include support for Apple Pay, Square, and zipPay, among other payments options.

• Point-of-sale equipment maker Castles Technology International Corp. said payments systems distributor POSDATA Group is now selling its products.

• Mobile-ticketing provider Atom Tickets, working with T-Mobile and 20th Century Fox, will help promote the release of "War for the Planet of the Apes" starting Tuesday by allowing users to redeem an offer from the T-Mobile Tuesdays app on the Atom Tickets app.

• ARK said it will be the 10th cryptocurrency to work with the Ledger hardware wallet, a secure dongle that allows users to hold and spend Bitcoin and other digital money.

• Burroughs Inc., which provides maintenance services for ATMs and other banking equipment, said it has added more than 100 members to its technical service and support staff in the U.S., and expanded training.
