JetPay Notes 2017 Revenues and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/29/18

  • JetPay Corp. reported a 15% year-over-year increase in fourth-quarter 2017 revenues to $19.9 million. The payment and payroll processor posted a net loss of $3.9 million, including $2.87 million in accretion of convertible preferred stock.
  • Shift4 Payments said more of its payments services are available to users of ResortSuite, a hospitality point-of-sale software service.
  • Payments provider Payoneer said online shopping cart provider 3dcart will use Payoneer for cross-border payments.
  • Visa Inc. announced the 50 winners of the Visa Cashless Challenge, which asked small businesses in the food-service category to explain how the cashless movement could benefit their businesses. Each winner received $10,000.
  • Dolphin Debit Access, an ATM-management firm serving community banks and credit unions, said Amoco Federal Credit Union in Texas City, Texas, picked Dolphin to manage its 14 ATMs.
  • Uphold Inc. announced it is the first digital-currency platform to make Ripple’s XRP cryptocurrency generally available to the public in the United States. At a market value of $21.2 billion, XRP is the third-largest digital currency after Bitcoin and Ether, according to Coinmarketcap.com.
  • BitPay, an exchange that enables merchants to accept cryptocurrency, said it now supports direct acceptance of the No. 4 digital currency, Bitcoin Cash, which emerged in August after a fork in Bitcoin’s code and now claims a market value of $13.1 billion, according to Coinmarketcap.com.
  • Daniel Chatelain, an entrepreneur and head of the San Francisco-based BayPay Forum, has joined the advisory board of Australian payments provider Verrency.
