First American Payment Systems in Apptizer Integration and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/14/18

  • Payments provider First American Payment Systems said its payment-processing services are now available to merchants using the Apptizer Order Ahead Mobile App from developer Apptizer Inc.
  • ATM deployer Payment Alliance International said it and multicurrency payment processor Planet Payment Inc. extended a multiyear contract for dynamic currency conversion at PAI’s ATMs. The two companies have worked together since 2012.
  • NACHA, the automated clearing house governing body, announced the debut of its Request for Payment program, a service that uses the ISO 20022 messaging standard for transactions made via the ACH network.
  • Playboy Enterprises Inc. said it is launching an online payment wallet that will support a number of digital currencies that can be used for payments across its platform. The company noted it has 100 million monthly consumers.
  • Payment processor Adyen said its point-of-sale service is now available in Singapore, which grows its international presence to 27 nations and more than 4,000 cities.
  • NCR Corp. appointed Daniel Campbell as executive vice president of global sales. Campbell comes to the ATM and payments and point-of-sale hardware and software provider from Virtustream, an enterprise cloud-services provider acquired by the former EMC Corp. in 2015.
  • Retail and cobranded card issuer Synchrony Financial hired Trish Mosconi as executive vice president of business strategy and development; Mosconi most recently worked at investment firm BlackRock and earlier at Boston Consulting Group.
